The Potty Chronicles, Part VII

Avery and I are now working together as a team to try and convince strong-willed little sis to do her business like a big girl. To date, the resistance continues. Her third birthday is in a couple of weeks, and I find myself wondering if she will be wearing Pull-ups forever. Also, notice the shoes are on the wrong feet? I dare not try to help with Miss Independent! It is her way or the highway! Look for future potty updates....

Back To School!

Today is Avery's first day of Pre-K. She was very excited to go! This is her new backpack that her Grammy ordered for her. "Thanks Grammy!"

We had a house full of family to celebrate our beloved Grammy's birthday! We do love her a "bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck!"

After we sang to the birthday girl, Avery retreated to her bedroom, AKA her "safe" quarters....LOL! The little stinker! Nonetheless, what a sweet picture! We had fun helping Grammy celebrate her special day!

Meet Our Yard Pet!

"Sally" the salamander took up residence in a vacant hole behind our pool last May. After doing some research on the amphibian creature, Granddad determined that "it" was indeed a small mouth salamander, and harmless as well. We've grown quite fond of it. However, I do worry about hitting it with the mower.....

Driveway Art!

My friend Megan inspired me to do "driveway art" with the girls! We crushed sidewalk chalk with water and had a ball making footprints & handprints!

"Toad-ally" Fun!

This is Paige, Avery's friend from Mother's Day Out. On this day the girls found one of a few thousand offspring that's been hopping around our yard since the first of June!! This little froggie was loved very much on this day.......
