Trunk Or Treating at Avery's School

My mom and I had a blast decorating our trunk and handing out candy at Avery's Pre-K!! This year our theme was "Candy Land," which was actually a step up from last year when we were amateurs at trunk decorating. The highlight of the day was seeing one of Avery's favorite teachers dressed up as a Whoopie Cushion!!!! It was so funny! And then, she actually had a remote underneath to "activate" several different bodily functions, LOL!!!

Happy Halloween!

This was our third year for "Trunk-Or-Treating." We go downtown to Collinsville and walk along Main St. as the merchants hand out candy. This was Ashley's first time to participate, and she loved it! Our only struggle came when there was a line at any particular place for candy. Ashley tried to "but" in line to get her candy faster!!
It was a fun night with beautiful weather this year. Last year was very cold! It's always fun to take the girls trunk-or-treating and then come home for dinner with our family. On the other hand, I was disappointed to have only three trick-or-treaters at our house this year. Where did everybody go? We used to be bombarded with kids, and we enjoyed it so much. We even ran out of candy one time. I guess it's because our house is sort of out of the way now.

I caught Ashley brushing Rose with dad's brush......
we never did tell, though!

Meet Rose!

This is our new precious kitty cat, Rose. One day while visiting Petsmart, we passed the area where kittens are up for adoption, after they had been previously rescued. Rose was rescued after her owners dumped her and her sister in the isle at the Petsmart store. We couldn't leave without taking her home!
She has turned out to be an ideal match for the girls. She is a verrrrry laid back kitty. She is always purring and wants to be around people at all times. She is very playful and sweet!

Pumpkin Patch

The weather was beautiful today! We enjoyed taking the girls to the pumpkin patch. Their favorite activity was doing the hay maze! Getting Ashley to sit still & pose for a pic remains a challenge, but I have learned not to get too upset about it!

Makin Stuff

We enjoy doing a lot of activities and crafts together! Today we made playdough pumpkins.

Story Time With Daddy

The girls enjoy a good read with Dad most evenings.
